Who we are
Avanti Immigration Ltd is the data controller of any of your personal information that you provide to us. Our address is 4 Cam Road, Stratford, London, E15 2SN.

When you visit our website, we automatically log your IP address and information about your visit, such as the time, the pages viewed, and the browser used. But all this information is collected anonymously and does not identify you as an individual. Statistics are compiled using this information, enabling us to monitor the use of the site.
Cookies are not used on our site (cookies are automated tools which enable websites to identify and track individual visitors, sometimes without their knowledge). We collect your personal information only when you provide it to us, or when it is provided to us by our clients in connection with legal proceedings or in order to give legal advice.
What we do with your personal information and why
We may use your personal information in order to give you legal advice, or in connection with legal proceedings or legal advice to third parties, or for our legitimate interests as a Consultancy. We will use personal information only for the purposes that the information was collected, or to provide information about a similar purpose. Information about children will only be collected and stored with permission. Your information will be held securely and safeguarded against unauthorised use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All those who work at Avanti Immigration are subject to strict confidentiality rules and our privacy policies. Your data will usually be kept for 7 years after we stop providing a service to you, or 7 years after the last payment or date of writing off costs, or 7 years after children reach 18. We do not use automated decision-making in processing your personal information.
Whether there are other recipients of your personal information
We may need to send your personal information to other people in connection with representing you in your matter, or in connection with giving legal advice, or for our legitimate interests, or where there are other lawful reasons to do so. For instance, we may disclose information to medical experts, translators, barristers, judges, opponents in legal proceedings, IT advisors, or our Case Management Software provider. If we disclose your information as our client, we will explain to you what steps we are taking and to whom we are sending any of your information and we will respect professional rules of confidentiality and legal professional privilege.
Whether we intend to transfer your personal information to another country
We may on occasion transfer your data to a country outside the EEA for purposes connected with giving legal advice, or in pursuit of our legitimate interests as a Consultancy. However, we will only transfer information to a country which has adequate safeguards for the protection of personal data as confirmed by the European Commission, or in accordance with EU-US privacy shield arrangements.
Your rights and how to exercise them
- You have the right to be informed about the collection and use of personal data
- You have a right of access to the personal data being processed and to request a copy of the data and supplementary details. You will be asked for proof of identity but no fee will be charged. We will aim to respond within 30 days
- You have the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data being processed (subject to some exemptions)
- In some circumstances, you have the right to object to or restrict the processing of certain data, or to ask for its erasure
- You have the right to portability in some circumstances
Some of these rights cannot be exercised at all if the processing is necessary for advising or where legal professional privilege applies. We will explain the basis for any exemption if it applies.

You can opt out of any of our distribution lists, or correct your details, at any time. This applies whether you are a private individual or a member of an organisation. Contact details are given under Contact Us. All our emails include an unsubscribe link.
